Nov 24, Catherine rated it it was amazing Shelves: I don’t really want to spoil how things finally settle down book 7, from what I can understand from the synopsis at the end of the book, seems like its starting a new ‘arc’ of sorts. In this installment we see the showdown between the evil Mr Bishop and the native v Book 6 in the Morganville Vampires series, and I must admit I’m getting pretty bored.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Outcast Season, Book One. She is forced to do Bishop’s will and becomes his “messenger” and brings death to those who receive the news. The plot-lines are ever surprising, the characterisation spot on, whether we are concerning ageless vampire evil in its vengeance or teenage worrying American student gal, and the mood of Morganville is still coming across vividly through the skills of the writing. I already started it. I knew Bishop was evil.

I love seeing Claire mature more and more each book, and not be a whiney little child anymore. This entire series just seems to be one long continuous book really, so many different cainw intertwined into each addition.

Also I love to see Shane grow he is maturing and not as hot headed and fly off the handles as he used to be. Eve is still awesome, Michael still carries the weight of the world, Shane still loves Claire, and Claire? Even little Claire starts talking back and standing up for herself this time around. Morganville has become caihe second home for me.

Give this series a chance, and trust me, you’ll thank me for it. Kermit is entering his 30th year of teaching, and corpuus already put in for early retirement.
